"trade on! the official soundtrack"

i'm always curious to know what people like to listen to, especially when they are crafting! i'm also quite nostalgic about the whole "mixed tape" concept (RIP sweet cassettes!) so, we've come up with a really neat idea that will help us to get to know each other better!

this is what it is:

post your favorite song here in the comments section.
when i get to 18 or so, i will compile a CD and list it in my MuffinTopsyTurvy shop (http://muffintopsyturvy.etsy.com/) , where they will be on sale for just 0.20 plus postage!
make sure you also let me know if you are interested in having one of these "soundtracks", so i will know how many to list.

*** HERE IS THE PLAYLIST (SO FAR!!!!)

1. Come Together - the beatles
2. Hey Ya! - outkast
3. Stuttering - ben's brother
4. I'm Waking Up to Us - belle & sebastian
5. Without You - Harry Nilsson
6. Chain of Fools - aretha franklin
7. Either Way - wilco

What a great way to get to know everybody! It's hard to decide on just one favorite but I'll go with 'chain of fools'. Thanks, Muffin!!

Love this idea :) Hmmmm, I'm usually back and forth between Wilco (haha, have 2 creations named after songs of theirs!) and Ryan Adams..... Let's say:

Either Way, Wilco

Ooo! Yay! This is so cool! Put either "Ana Ng" by They Might Be Giants or "I'm Waking Up to Us" by Belle and Sebastian.

Awesome!

I don't always listen to music while crafting but when I do I catch some 80's and then my girls start dancing around and then I get distracted and start to dance. we love Prince, he gets everyone dancing in this house!

Today I listened to the 'Wire' CD by Third Day while I crafted :0)

Lately it's been mostly Harry Nilsson with some older jazz: John Coltrane, Stan Getz, Miles Davis, etc.

This is a good idea! :)

OK, this should mix it up but I've always told you guys I live in the sticks, in the cornfields, in central IL. My fav is International Harvester by Craig Morgan. Sould make for an interesting CD :)

I have music on my blog! I open it up and let it play. It's all songs I picked and put on there so of course they are all favorites, but I just love to hear " I can see clearly now" !! It inspires and rejuvenates me no matter what mood I'm in!

Ohmigod, this is gonna be the BEST CD EVER!! Me, too, me, too, I LOVE PRINCE (I am from Minneapolis originally). Hmmmmmmm, one song, wow, I keep coming up with obscure ones because I tend to like the songs on discs that are never on the radio.... Ok, how about either Hey Ya, by Andre 3000 (because of the shake it like a Polaroid pictya line, since I am often making transfers) or It's Oh So Quiet, It's Oh So Still by Bjork. Or Bird Cage in Your Soul by They Might Be Giants... oh stop me....
